With little, but impressive artistic symbols, Lansdale transports the
coveted lover into the present, interpreting him as an egoistic macho.
The premiere public rewards this well balanced staging and the
excellent performance of the dancers with many curtain calls.

The Bielefeld Theater presented in the Theater am Alten Markt, the old
story in a new and modern dance evening - one expected nothing else
from the ballet director Philip Lansdale, as an unconventional
interpretation.
... Lansdale’s proven recipe of emphasized expressive body
movement and aesthetic inspired flowing classical formations
transports one on to another plane.
