Electra

“Electra” Catherine Petit, Carine Auberger
|
The story was enriched with the use of intensive symbols and strong
body language. The personal relationships between the characters
was developed subtly, underlining the destructive violence of the piece
- once again the choreography with its extremely forceful, athletic and
transparent movement, brought the dancers to their feasible limits. The
Bielefeld Company performs this piece of demanding, lively
choreographed dance theatre, with sovereignty and a very aesthetic
interpretation.
Uta Jostwerner, Westfalen-Blatt
The public were convinced by Electra-Premiere
...the public experienced an emotionally pact evening with this
“Electra”, which makes heavy demands with its brilliant modern
staging. It is definitely a considerable major achievement, for both
choreographer and the company.
Anne Tophinke, Neue Westfälische
...the entrance of the title heroine Electra was very impressive, as was
the lyrical death of Iphigenia. What is so impressive with this poetical
dance poem is the distinctive, collective spirit of the company, even
when Lansdale in the second half often is extremely brutal in the way
he comes to terms with the story, that any way has a very violent end.
The public celebrated the dance premiere, once again impressed with
the talented, industrious dance company and their choreographer.
