Ursula Pfennig With “Peer Gynt”, Bielefeld’s new ballet director Philip Lansdale, has choreographed a fascinating, meaningful, successful, new work. Ug, Die Glocke Philip Lansdale has choreographed a good, tasteful and imaginative piece; in his condensed conception of this psychological work from Ibsen, he gives an internal view of the characters who are send out in to the world, he could have perhaps gone a bit further with his abstraction. But still, the handwriting of the new ballet director is clear and eye catching in its contemporary form and the public are more than willing to follow this new concept.
